Developing Musicianship Notation app for iPhone and iPad

Developing Musicianship is a series of Apps designed to train the Aural and Theory knowledge of music students. It is also designed to assist teachers in delivering musicianship concepts to their middle years and upper secondary students.

Notation is a huge package of activities that will provide many learning opportunities over a substantial duration.
The Notation App is designed for Middle Elementary through to early Secondary school. It provides an introduction to various music concepts and some foundation activities for developing Aural skills. This includes numerous short theory lessons with defined learning outcomes that draw on recognisable objects to draw parallels with music, activities to encourage friendly competition amongst peers and to build up music reading efficiency, games to provide students who work faster then others with fun beneficial activities such as word searches and mix and match, and practise tests for the individual to consolidate the skills learned. This app also takes advantage of the graphic capabilities of the iPad allowing students to try their hand at handwritten music symbols such as clefs and notation in a stencil based sketch pad with over 20 templates.
